About the event
River Valley Child Development Services is partnering with the Public Relations Campaign Management class at Marshall University to develop and implement campaign funds and awareness for the School Age Connections after-school program at Guyandotte Elementary School. The after-school program provides free, high-quality childcare beyond the regular school day to low income families in the Guyandotte area to allow parents to continue working at jobs or taking care of households while their children receive opportunities for education and social advancement.
As part of the 2018 RVCDS Public Relations campaign, the Marshall University student group will be organizing a Second Chance Prom that will take place from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday, April 13 at the Renaissance Center.
With your help, RVCDS will be able to keep the after-school program at Guyandotte Elementary School running for its fourth year to continue providing the free, high-quality early childhood care and education we seek to provide those most in need of such care.
